Take Control Connection

TAP Tech is extending Remote Access to all qualifying clients during the Corona virus spread. We will offer best-effort support free of charge for a limited time. Please send any support requests to support@taptechit.com and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Accessing your computer for the first time

  1. You will receive an email with your username and password
  2. Visit https://rmm.taptechit.com and log in
  3. Set up your 2-Factor Authentication App. We suggest Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy. You can find these in the App or Play Store on your mobile device.
  4. Click the Green icon below “Remote Control”
  5. Click the “Take Control Viewer” link to download the software
  6. Click or double click the downloaded program and allow it to install
  7. Once the software has installed, click the green “LAUNCH TAKE CONTROL” button
  8. On some browsers you may need to click the button that pops up to run it
  9. Your work computer should appear in the window!
  10. When you’re done, close the program.
  11. Please do not Shut down your work computer as it will be inaccessible if you do so!

Accessing your computer after you’ve installed the software for the first time

  1. The process is the same as above, except you can skip Steps 4 and 5.

Remote Printing

  1. Click on Remote Desktop -> Interactions -> Enable Remote Printing
  2. Print your document using the “Solarwinds Remote Printer” that appears
  3. When the new Print dialogue appears, select your local (home) printer and the document will be printed.
