On occasion, companies will change the way their email is routed. Sometimes, Outlook likes to remember, or “cache”, the old location and you will have difficulty. If you’re having trouble sending email to someone, we might suggest that you clear the cached email address.
Steps:
- Open up a new email in Outlook
- Begin typing in the email address in the To: field, and when it pops up, record the full email address somewhere (or memorize it) as it will be removed in the next step.
- Click the little X at the right side of the email address, which will remove it from the autocomplete cache.
- Now, type type the full email address again in the To: field and send an email.
This will prompt Outlook to find the new path to the email address and may resolve the issue.
