Hook up a new phone

If you’ve received a new phone and need to hook it up, we can help with that!

Your phone will be pre-configured to communicate with your TAP Tech Hosted PBX system.  All you need to do is plug it in.

Flip the phone over and see the image below for setup.  Please note that some networks will be able to supply power to the phone without an adapter, as the network cord will power it up.  If your phone does not have an AC adapter in the box, don’t worry about it!

Once you power up your phone for the first time, it will reach out to our server and self-configure. This process is called “provisioning” and the phone may reboot once or twice. If you have any issues or the phone does not work after rebooting, shoot us an email or call from another phone so we can help out.
